Ken Kleinberg has more than 41 years of experience in IT, with the past 22 years focused solely on healthcare. He specializes in helping stakeholders in the US and abroad with IT strategy, including EHRs, interoperability, mobile computing, and advanced and emerging technologies (especially AI and analytics).
Currently, he serves as Practice Lead, Innovative Technologies for Point-of-Care Partners (www.pocp.com), a health IT management consulting firm specializing in ePrescribing, payer and provider strategies, pharma. and health IT links to life sciences. He is also a member of The Analyst Syndicate, a group of former Gartner analysts (see www.thansyn.com).
Past positions include: VP of Research at Chilmark Research; Managing Director for the Advisory Board; VP of Business Development at Health Language (now Wolters Kluwer); VP and Hospital Strategist at Allscripts; Senior Director of Global Healthcare for Symbol (now Motorola/Zebra); and Healthcare VP and Editor-in-chief for Gartner.
Ken holds a BS in biology from The State University of NY at Albany and an MA in neuropsychology from Queens College in NY. He has appeared on ABC and CNBC, and has been quoted in USA Today, the NY Times, Forbes, and numerous health care publications. He is a HIMSS Fellow, and has served on the Patient Safety Committee, the Enterprise Information Systems Committee, and the Connected Patient Committee.
Ken lives with his wife, two teenagers (now both in university), and their two dogs and cat in Saugerties, NY. He is an instrument-rated pilot, climber, scuba-diver, kayaker, and snowboarder.
